MPower Me App Now Included With Your Account

MPower Me
Many companies offer home control and lifestyle products that give consumers the ability to control their alarm system and home automation services. All monitored alarm account customers are now MPowered 24 hours a day with the ability to:
  • View their account information, call list, and zone information
  • View their alarm event history
  • Place their account on test / Take their account off test (MPower Me Advanced)
  • Call the central station / Request data changes

Mobile access: click MPower Me - Mobile Edition from your smartphone, or enter quinlan.alarminfo.net/m on your smartphone's browser. Once the login page appears, you can tap the phone's menu button and tap Add Shortcut To Home Screen, and a yellow Quinlan icon will be placed on your phone's home screen for quick and easy access. For help accessing your account, please call 708-478-0707 from 8am - 4pm Monday through Friday.

Central Station Monitoring - Redundancy and Reliability

Our monitoring center is a UL Listed Central Station with five hot redundant and load sharing central stations, strategically located across the country. They are staffed with a highly trained, dedicated and alert staff that respond swiftly whenever your alarm is triggered. The goal is to deliver an average priority response time of 25 seconds or less. In any emergency, our operators will pinpoint the location, identify your response plan and initiate emergency instructions within seconds. Each phone conversation and incident detail is archived for review. And, because our monitoring service can be connected to your home or business by wireless radio or the Internet, as well as via land-based telephones, there will be no interruption in service regardless of the circumstances.

Prevent Kitchen Fires - Fire Prevention Week

It's time for Fire Prevention Week, and from October 6-12, Quinlan Security Systems and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) will be spreading the word about the dangers of kitchen fires. According to the NFPA latest research, cooking is the leading cause of home fires. Two out of every 5 fires begin in the kitchen.

Among the safety tips that firefighters and safety advocates will be emphasizing:
  • Stay in the kitchen when you are frying, grilling, broiling, or boiling food.
  • If you must leave the room, even for a short period of time, turn off the stove.
  • When you are simmering, baking, or roasting food, check it regularly, stay in the home, and use a timer to remind you.
  • If you have young children, use the stove’s back burners whenever possible. Keep children and pets at least three away from the stove.
  • When you cook, wear clothing with tight-fitting sleeves.
  • Keep potholders, oven mitts, wooden utensils, paper and plastic bags, towels, and anything else that can burn, away from your stovetop.
  • Clean up food and grease from burners and stovetops.
  • The NFPA recommends that you REPLACE all smoke alarms when they are 10 tears old.

The Cost of Non Productivity

Assumptions:

You run a company with 50 employees
Half of those employees take 5 minutes longer on their paid breaks than you’re comfortable with during each of their two paid breaks.

Your average wage is $10.00/hour @ 40 hours per week.
Fact:  That unproductivity will cost you $10,833.33 yearly in wages paid but not earned. Not theoretical – actual wages lost by the company. Adjust the number accordingly (employees, number of unproductive minutes, hourly wage, etc.) for your company then ask yourself:

Question: Can I afford to keep paying those wages without seeing a return?

Is it worth 5 minutes on the phone with Quinlan Security to start the discussion on fixing this problem?

Public View Monitor - RECORDING IN PROGRESS

A Public View Monitor (PVM) placed at your building entrance displays an image from an onboard camera of every visitor who enters your facility. An overlay message “Recording In Progress” informs potential thieves that they are being recorded. This shows everyone passing by the monitor that video surveillance is deployed and in use throughout the facility. Not only does this signal a ‘safe’ environment to honest occupants, it warns troublemakers that they are under observation.
The Public View Monitors feature  a slim styled design with a recessed acrylic face to be an elegant showpiece, while actively taking part of loss prevention and creating a greater awareness of video surveillance.  It can be wall mounted, or ceiling mounted. For more information, please call Quinlan Security Systems at 708-478-0707.
